Musculoskeletal Disorders in Jupiter, FL

An umbrella for the muscles, joints, tendons and nerves that move you.

About Musculoskeletal Disorders

Understanding Musculoskeletal Disorders

Musculoskeletal disorder is a broad term for conditions affecting muscles, bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and the nerves that serve them. It covers strains and sprains, tendon irritation, wear-related joint change, nerve compression and the cumulative effects of repetitive work or posture.

What these share is that they respond to how the body is loaded. Understanding the pattern of loading is usually more useful than naming the tissue.

The specific musculoskeletal areas Dr. Newmark's Jupiter practice lists include back pain, neck pain, sciatica, shoulder pain, knee and hip pain, joint pain and carpal tunnel syndrome.

What patients describe

Symptoms people mention when they come in:

  • Pain that follows a repetitive activity
  • Stiffness that eases with movement
  • Aching that builds through the working day
  • Weakness or fatigue in a limb
  • Recurring strains in the same place
  • Discomfort that shifts as you compensate

How we help

Musculoskeletal Disorders at our Jupiter office

Every first visit follows the same shape: your patient history and symptoms, a thorough chiropractic exam of range of motion, muscle strength and more, a review of any imaging you bring, and a report of findings that explains the problem and how to address it.

From there, care is matched to what was found and may draw on chiropractic adjustments, therapeutic exercise, strength and balance training, massage therapy or spinal decompression.

When to seek medical care first

Significant trauma, a limb that cannot bear weight, progressive weakness or numbness, or pain with fever should be assessed medically first.

What to expect on your first visit

Four steps, from the phone call to ongoing care, so you know exactly how your first appointment will go.

  1. Book your appointment

Call our office at 561-781-3770 or complete our online form. Please bring copies of your past x-rays and MRIs to your first appointment.

  2. Consultation & examination

Dr. Newmark discusses your patient history and symptoms, then performs a thorough chiropractic exam to assess range of motion, muscle strength and more. She reviews any diagnostic materials you bring, and may prescribe x-rays if they are needed to assess your spine.

  3. Report of findings

You receive a detailed analysis of the problem that brought you into our office and how to address it, taking into account your current lifestyle choices, your goals for the future and the challenges standing in your way.

  4. Treatment & ongoing care

Follow up visits cover treatment and maintenance as well as wellness and prevention. Dr. Newmark provides chiropractic adjustments as needed along with wellness counseling and recommendations, and may add instruction in stretching and exercise.

Payment options

Back to Health is committed to ensuring chiropractic care is accessible to you and your loved ones. We accept Medicare, but Medicare does not cover all charges in a chiropractic office.

We do not submit claims to private health insurance providers. If you opt to request reimbursement from your insurance provider, we can provide an itemized document. With this, you can submit the documentation to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement of services.

By eliminating costly and labor-intensive follow-up communication related to insurance claims, we can lower administrative costs. This lower overhead means lower cost visits for patients.

What our patients say

In our patients' own words

A few of the reviews shared by people treated at our Jupiter office.

Roy A.
Dr. Newmark has the ability to truly feel what her patients are experiencing and a keen understanding of how to treat each one individually. She is a true healer and has really helped me overcome back challenges, I highly recommend her.
Paul H.
Dr. Paula Newmark is amazing! Previous chiropractors made me "sore" from a visit. I have been rear ended three times in 7 years and I only go when needed. She isn't one of those "come every week" type. She is come when you need me. I can't thank her enough for her caring and talent.
Erik K.
My treatment with Dr Newmark has had terrific results. Dr Newmark has helped me get back to a normal life of golfing and doing things I haven't done in years.
Margot T.
Dr Newmark is a true partner on your journey to better chiropractic health.
Jennifer M.
She is an excellent communicator, and she has truly helped me with my chiropractic needs/health.
Victoria C.
I refer to her time and time again to anyone who will listen to me!
