Shoulder Pain Care in Jupiter, FL
The most mobile joint you own, and the least forgiving of neglect.
About Shoulder Pain
Understanding Shoulder Pain
The shoulder trades stability for range of movement, which leaves it dependent on the muscles and tendons around it. Rotator cuff irritation, impingement, joint wear and stiffness of the capsule are all common, and the neck and upper back frequently contribute.
Shoulder pain that comes with tingling or numbness down the arm often points at the neck rather than the shoulder itself.
Shoulder pain is listed among the areas Dr. Newmark's Jupiter practice focuses on.
What patients describe
Symptoms people mention when they come in:
- Pain lifting the arm overhead
- Difficulty reaching behind your back
- Night pain lying on that side
- Weakness carrying or lifting
- Clicking or catching with movement
- Stiffness that has come on gradually
How we help
Shoulder Pain at our Jupiter office
The examination assesses range of motion, muscle strength and more across the shoulder, and also the neck and upper back, since referred pain is common. Any imaging you bring is reviewed.
The report of findings explains what was found and how to address it. Therapeutic exercise and massage therapy are part of what the practice offers and often matter for a joint this dependent on its surrounding muscle.
When to seek medical care first
Shoulder pain after a fall with visible deformity or inability to move the arm, or shoulder or arm pain with chest tightness, breathlessness, sweating or nausea, needs emergency care. The latter can signal a heart problem.

What our patients say
In our patients' own words
A few of the reviews shared by people treated at our Jupiter office.
Dr. Newmark has the ability to truly feel what her patients are experiencing and a keen understanding of how to treat each one individually. She is a true healer and has really helped me overcome back challenges, I highly recommend her.
Dr. Paula Newmark is amazing! Previous chiropractors made me "sore" from a visit. I have been rear ended three times in 7 years and I only go when needed. She isn't one of those "come every week" type. She is come when you need me. I can't thank her enough for her caring and talent.
My treatment with Dr Newmark has had terrific results. Dr Newmark has helped me get back to a normal life of golfing and doing things I haven't done in years.
Dr Newmark is a true partner on your journey to better chiropractic health.
She is an excellent communicator, and she has truly helped me with my chiropractic needs/health.
I refer to her time and time again to anyone who will listen to me!
