Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Care in Jupiter, FL

Hand and wrist symptoms are worth evaluating properly rather than waiting out.

About Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Understanding Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome happens when the median nerve is compressed as it passes through a narrow channel at the wrist. The usual pattern is numbness, tingling or burning in the thumb, index, middle and part of the ring finger, often worse at night or after repetitive hand use.

Similar symptoms can come from elsewhere. Nerve irritation in the neck, the shoulder or the forearm can produce hand complaints that look like carpal tunnel but are not, which is why an examination matters before deciding on a course of action.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is listed among the areas Dr. Newmark's Jupiter practice focuses on.

How we help

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome at our Jupiter office

Dr. Newmark takes your history and symptoms, then examines range of motion, muscle strength and more across the wrist, forearm, shoulder and neck, since hand symptoms do not always originate at the hand. Existing imaging or nerve studies are reviewed if you have them.

The report of findings sets out what was found and how to address it, including the lifestyle and work factors that may be keeping the problem going. Where the findings point outside the scope of chiropractic care, she will say so.

When to seek medical care first

Constant numbness, visible wasting of the muscle at the base of the thumb, or rapidly worsening weakness should be assessed promptly, as longstanding nerve compression can cause lasting damage.

Payment options

Back to Health is committed to ensuring chiropractic care is accessible to you and your loved ones. We accept Medicare, but Medicare does not cover all charges in a chiropractic office.

We do not submit claims to private health insurance providers. If you opt to request reimbursement from your insurance provider, we can provide an itemized document. With this, you can submit the documentation to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement of services.

By eliminating costly and labor-intensive follow-up communication related to insurance claims, we can lower administrative costs. This lower overhead means lower cost visits for patients.

Dr. Newmark has the ability to truly feel what her patients are experiencing and a keen understanding of how to treat each one individually. She is a true healer and has really helped me overcome back challenges, I highly recommend her.
Paul H.
Dr. Paula Newmark is amazing! Previous chiropractors made me "sore" from a visit. I have been rear ended three times in 7 years and I only go when needed. She isn't one of those "come every week" type. She is come when you need me. I can't thank her enough for her caring and talent.
Erik K.
My treatment with Dr Newmark has had terrific results. Dr Newmark has helped me get back to a normal life of golfing and doing things I haven't done in years.
