Nutritional Counseling in Jupiter, FL

Diet considered as part of the picture rather than a separate subject.

About Nutritional Counseling

What Nutritional Counseling involves

Nutritional counseling is a conversation about what you eat and drink and how that sits alongside the rest of your care. It is not a diet plan handed over at the door. The useful version starts from your actual eating pattern, your circumstances and what you are trying to achieve.

Nutrition connects to a good deal of what brings people into a chiropractic office, including energy through the day, sleep, recovery after activity and body weight. That does not make it a treatment for a musculoskeletal problem, but it does make it worth discussing rather than ignoring.

Nutritional counseling is among the services Dr. Paula Newmark, D.C. provides at her Jupiter practice.

What this includes

What you can expect as part of this service:

  • Your current eating pattern discussed without judgement
  • Nutrition considered alongside your examination findings
  • Recommendations shaped around your goals and obstacles
  • Part of a whole-person approach rather than a standalone programme

How we help

Nutritional Counseling at our Jupiter office

Dr. Newmark's whole-person approach works to identify underlying causes of discomfort and to suggest appropriate interventions and lifestyle adjustments. Nutrition is one of those adjustments, raised where it is relevant to what you came in for.

The report of findings you receive after your history and examination takes your current lifestyle choices into account explicitly, and nutritional guidance is part of that conversation rather than a separate appointment bolted on.

If you already work with a physician or dietitian on a specific dietary requirement, bring that in. Guidance here is meant to sit alongside it.

Scope of this guidance

Nutritional counseling here is general guidance and is not medical nutrition therapy for a diagnosed condition. If you have diabetes, kidney disease, an eating disorder, a food allergy or you are pregnant, work with your physician or a registered dietitian, and tell the practice about any supplements or medication you take.

What to expect on your first visit

Four steps, from the phone call to ongoing care, so you know exactly how your first appointment will go.

  1. Book your appointment

Call our office at 561-781-3770 or complete our online form. Please bring copies of your past x-rays and MRIs to your first appointment.

  2. Consultation & examination

Dr. Newmark discusses your patient history and symptoms, then performs a thorough chiropractic exam to assess range of motion, muscle strength and more. She reviews any diagnostic materials you bring, and may prescribe x-rays if they are needed to assess your spine.

  3. Report of findings

You receive a detailed analysis of the problem that brought you into our office and how to address it, taking into account your current lifestyle choices, your goals for the future and the challenges standing in your way.

  4. Treatment & ongoing care

Follow up visits cover treatment and maintenance as well as wellness and prevention. Dr. Newmark provides chiropractic adjustments as needed along with wellness counseling and recommendations, and may add instruction in stretching and exercise.

Payment options

Back to Health is committed to ensuring chiropractic care is accessible to you and your loved ones. We accept Medicare, but Medicare does not cover all charges in a chiropractic office.

We do not submit claims to private health insurance providers. If you opt to request reimbursement from your insurance provider, we can provide an itemized document. With this, you can submit the documentation to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement of services.

By eliminating costly and labor-intensive follow-up communication related to insurance claims, we can lower administrative costs. This lower overhead means lower cost visits for patients.

What our patients say

In our patients' own words

A few of the reviews shared by people treated at our Jupiter office.

Roy A.
Dr. Newmark has the ability to truly feel what her patients are experiencing and a keen understanding of how to treat each one individually. She is a true healer and has really helped me overcome back challenges, I highly recommend her.
Paul H.
Dr. Paula Newmark is amazing! Previous chiropractors made me "sore" from a visit. I have been rear ended three times in 7 years and I only go when needed. She isn't one of those "come every week" type. She is come when you need me. I can't thank her enough for her caring and talent.
Erik K.
My treatment with Dr Newmark has had terrific results. Dr Newmark has helped me get back to a normal life of golfing and doing things I haven't done in years.
Margot T.
Dr Newmark is a true partner on your journey to better chiropractic health.
Jennifer M.
She is an excellent communicator, and she has truly helped me with my chiropractic needs/health.
Victoria C.
I refer to her time and time again to anyone who will listen to me!
